Once upon a time, in a small village in Maharashtra, lived a kind and hardworking man named Baburao Tajne. He was very poor and worked as a daily wage laborer. Baburao didn’t have much money, but he had a big heart and a strong will to help others.
In his village, there was a big problem. People didn’t have clean water to drink. They had to walk a long distance to fetch water, and sometimes they were even treated badly when they tried to take water from other people's wells.
One day, something really sad happened. Baburao’s wife went to a nearby upper-caste house to ask for water, but they insulted her and told her not to touch their well.
Baburao felt hurt and angry. But instead of fighting or complaining, he decided to do something amazing. He took a spade and started digging a well – all by himself! Yes, you read that right.
Without machines or help, he dug and dug every day after work. The ground was hard, and the sun was hot, but Baburao didn’t stop. People laughed at him and thought he was wasting his time.
But guess what? After 40 days, Baburao found water! Clean, fresh water! He had made a working well with his own hands. The same people who laughed at him were now shocked and proud. Thanks to Baburao, the whole village had water to drink.
Baburao Tajne became a real-life hero. He showed us that even if you are poor or treated unfairly, you can do great things with hard work and determination. He didn’t do it for fame. He did it because he loved his family and his village.
So kids, remember Baburao’s story whenever you feel like giving up. He teaches us that even one person can make a big difference — with courage, kindness, and never giving up!
Moral: A strong heart and helping hands can change the world.
