DEEP SEA FISH AND TROPICAL FISH !

DEEP SEA FISH AND TROPICAL FISH !
Published on

Fish have changed and adapted to their environments over a period of 400 million years. Thus, deep sea fish have certain special features, tropical fish have certain peculiarities, and so on.

Deep sea fish have to face a higher density of water as they swim in the lower depths. Also, they face a problem of less light, in the depths of the sea. Thus, their bones have adapted into light skeletal frames and many of them have luminous organs.

Sometimes, the fish themselves have what is called photophores which are luminous. Otherwise, certain bacteria which are luminous, grow on the body of the fish itself.

Tropical fish are often brightly and gaily coloured. Sometimes the fish are coloured so that they can hide in the environment where they live. Some fish have markings like eyes painted on their rear to confuse enemies.

The flying fish has developed its pectoral fins like wings to help it glide through the air. It holds its fins like wings to help it glide through the air. It holds its fins close to its body, takes off from the crest of a wave, spreads its wings, and glides through the air.
