Every night in the quiet sky, when stars twinkled like tiny night-lamps, the Moon would glow softly and watch over all the children in the world. The Moon loved bedtime because it was the time when dreams floated like bubbles.
But one night, something strange happened... The Moon couldn’t shine! Its light kept flickering like a sleepy candle.
“Oh dear,” the Moon sighed, “how will the children fall asleep without my gentle glow?”
Down on Earth, in a small blue house, lived a little boy named Taru. Taru loved watching the Moon before sleeping. He would whisper his day’s stories to it, believing the Moon listened.
That night, when the Moon dimmed, Taru noticed it struggling.
“Maybe the Moon is tired,” he whispered.
So Taru did something magical. He opened his window, held up his glowing yellow night-lamp, and said softly, “Moon, you gave me light every night. Today, I’ll give you mine.”
A warm, golden beam from the lamp reached the Moon—a tiny, gentle beam, but full of kindness.
The Moon blinked, then glowed... brighter... and brighter... until it shimmered like silver silk again.
“Thank you, Taru,” the Moon whispered in a soft moonlight voice only sleepy hearts can hear. “Your kindness filled me with light.”
Then something wonderful happened.
As Taru slowly lay down, the Moon sprinkled Dream Dust—tiny sparkles that drifted into his room. They made the curtains sway, his toys hush, and the whole room feel warm and peaceful.
Taru yawned a big bedtime yawn.
The Moon whispered, “Sweet dreams, little star.”
And Taru drifted into a soft, happy sleep... while the Moon glowed gently above, shining just a little brighter because of a child’s kindness.
So, kindness is always the key to life, kids.
