Do you know that our little feathered friends, the birds, are in trouble? I was so surprised when I read that many birds are disappearing from the world. Imagine waking up one morning with no sparrows chirping outside your window or no parrots flying across the sky. Wouldn’t it feel so quiet and lonely?
Birds are very important to our earth. They eat insects that harm plants, spread seeds to grow new trees, and even make our mornings happy with their sweet songs. But sadly, many birds are losing their homes because people cut down trees to build concrete towers. Some birds also cannot find food because fields and gardens are shrinking.
Another big problem is pollution. When we throw plastic, it sometimes ends up in the places where birds live. They can get stuck or even eat it by mistake. Loud noises from vehicles and crackers also scare them away. Sometimes birds crash into tall glass buildings because they cannot see the glass.
I feel really sad thinking about this. But the good news is—we can help! We can keep small bowls of water and grains on our balcony or garden for thirsty birds. We can plant trees and flowers, which give them food and a safe place to rest. We should also stop throwing waste carelessly and keep our surroundings clean.
Birds are not just beautiful to look at; they are part of our family on Earth. If we care for them, they will stay with us forever. I hope one day the sky will always be full of colorful wings and cheerful songs.
