Monnu, a little monkey, lived in a tree in a garden. Monnu liked hanging from different branches and jumping here and there.

One day, he saw a nest tucked between the branches of the tree. He could hear the sounds of little birdies coming from the nest.

Monnu wanted to scare them. He jumped onto a branch closer to the nest.

He made funny faces and shouted harshly. The little birdies chirped in fear.

Monnu danced and jumped, making loud, threatening sounds. By chance, his tail hit the nest heavily. The nest shook terribly.

The little birdies cried and chirped louder.

“Oh! If I disturb the nest, the little ones will be terrified,” thought Monnu.

Even so, Monnu was ready to strike the nest again with his tail, but just then, Monnu’s mom arrived.

“Monnu! No, don’t disturb the nest!” shouted his mom.

Right at that moment, his tail struck the nest heavily, and it started falling from the branch along with the little birdies.

Monnu’s mom leaped forward and caught the nest just in time. The nest remained intact, and the little birdies were safe.

“Monnu, they are just like you. Why do you want to frighten them?” she asked.

“Why do they have to come to my tree and my branch?” Monnu grumbled.
