I just finished reading Dog Man: Twenty Thousand Fleas Under the Sea by Dav Pilkey, and it was super fun! If you like silly jokes, cool comics, and heroes who never give up, then this book is perfect.
The story is about Dog Man and his friends who face a new villain—an army of evil fleas! These fleas are not normal; they are clever, sneaky, and cause lots of trouble under the sea. But Dog Man, with his friends Li’l Petey and 80-HD, try their best to save the day.
What I loved most, was how the book is full of laughter. The pictures are bright and funny, and the words are easy to read. Sometimes the characters act goofy, but they also teach us something important—like teamwork, kindness, and never giving up even when things are hard.
I also enjoyed the “Flip-O-Rama” pages, where you can flip back and forth to see action happen like a mini-movie. That made me feel like part of the adventure!
The book is not too long, so I finished it quickly, but it left me smiling. I think kids who love comics, superheroes, or even pets will enjoy this story. It shows that even if you are different—like a part-dog, part-man hero—you can still do big things.
My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.7/5) because it made me laugh, think, and dream!
